We are looking for a highly experienced Performance QA Lead with over 10 years of expertise to oversee and lead our performance testing initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing performance testing strategies to ensure the reliability, scalability, and responsiveness of our software applications. This role requires a deep understanding of performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, as well as strong leadership and communication skills to guide and mentor the performance testing team. Responsibilities:

Following are the day-to-day work activities:

  • Develop and implement the overall performance testing strategy, methodologies, and best practices for our software applications.
  • Define performance testing objectives, requirements, and success criteria, and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Lead and manage a team of performance testing engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the successful execution of performance testing activities.
  • Define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members, and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop comprehensive performance test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Design and implement performance test scripts, simulations, and scenarios to simulate realistic user loads and stress conditions.
  • Lead the execution of performance tests using industry-standard performance testing tools and frameworks.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify performance bottlenecks, areas for improvement, and potential scalability issues.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and implement performance optimizations and enhancements.
  • Conduct performance tuning activities, such as code profiling, database optimization, caching, and resource allocation adjustments.
  • Document performance testing results, findings, and recommendations in clear and concise reports.
  • Communicate performance testing progress, status, and issues to project stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and business leaders.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in performance testing.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve performance testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

Candidates are required to have these mandatory skills to get the eligibility of their profile assessed. The must have requirements are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in performance testing or related roles, with a focus on testing web-based and enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of performance testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or similar.
  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Java for test automation and performance test scripting.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or similar.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team of performance testing engineers and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Solid knowledge of test management tools such as HP ALM, Jira, ADO, Rally or similar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen diligence.
  • Experience working in Agile environment following Onsite Offshore mode.

Good to Have:

  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB, CLRP or Agile certifications are desirable.
  • P&C Insurance Knowledge – Personal Lines and Commercial Lines.
